BLACK SABBATH Name Resolved by Ozzy and Iommi

The year long legal battle over the Black Sabbath name has finally been laid to rest by the lawyers of Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi today and both have wanted to make it known to the fans that the legal battle was one of business and not a personal challenge.

The court suite was filed by Ozzy last May on the grounds that Iommi had illegally commandeered the band name.  Iommi's response outlined the fact he had been a member of Black Sabbath for all 41 years of its existence and that the other band members had cut their rights in the 1980s.

It is said that Ozzy had hoped for 50% ownership and the equal division of rights between all four band members. The official statement issued states that both parties are glad to have put this behind them and look forward to cooperating in the future. Does anyone else smell a reunion?
