Birth Name: Bård Guldvik Eithun

Known mostly for his drumming with early Emperror, Faust had a soaring career ahead of him that ended abruptly when he was convicted of murdering a random homosexual who tried to court him in the woods. He was also friends with the other bad boys of black metal Euronymous and Vikernes, and would help them set fires to christian chapels although Faust has claimed many times he was simply angry, not a satanist. After his release from prison Faust was interviewed and asked about his stage name, to which he replied "A little by coincident, since I already knew about the Faust-myth (a German legend about a man who is dissatisfied with life and makes a pact with the devil for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures), but the main reason was that I wanted to have a pseudonym that stuck out a little more from the crowd, not just taking something out from the Satanic Bible or Necronomicon. Anyway, I think the name is easily recognizable and it has its own aura to it."

"I completely agree with Dani's take on this being a very Dusk/Midian vibe."
