METALLICA, KISS, DISTURBED Among Top Earning Artists of 2019 So Far

It's pretty wild that the year is already half over, but you know what that means – besides early albums of the year – it's time to look at touring stats. We love looking at these from time to time, and Pollstar has compiled a list of the top earners of the year so far, and not surprisingly Metallica is at the top of the list.

Pollstar's figures are taken from Nov. 22, 2018 through May 22, 2019. Metallica have played 26 shows so far, but have already pulled in $69.7 million. Meanwhile, KISS have collected $58 million from 44 shows. The ultimate winner is Elton John with $82 million gross, followed by Pink. Here are how rock and metal artists fared:
