Gimme Metal Program Director Brian Turner delivers the week's top 5 office buzz-worthy tracks.

OF FEATHER AND BONE – Entropic Self Immolation

A smothering slab of death metal rife with war connotations, Of Feather and Bone's new 'Sulfuric Disintergration' emits gases like evil fumes from their hometown Denver's evil airport underground. Vicious and enveloping attacks, colonialism lyrical themes, searing solos and cave-lair growls all layered with complexity not unlike Imperial Triumphant's last record in its sonic density.

NERVOSA – Perpetual Chaos

The title track of the newly-revamped band's fourth long player hits like a runaway train. Guitarist Prika Amaral has now brought in new members Eleni Nota, Mia Wallace, and vocalist Diva Satanica (!) for continued death/thrash assault, mark your cals for their Gimme takeover on Friday, January 29th.

HARLOTT – As We Breach

Crisp and precise Aussie thrash from the 'Detritus of the Final Age' LP out on Metal Blade November 13th that should appeal to Megadeth/Warbringer fans. Stay tuned for an interview on Alex Kayne's Slaughterhouse show in January on Gimme.

LEBENDEN TOTEN – Theater of Death

Someone shocking to hear this is a live set (from Iron Lung's anniversary bash) because I assumed there was no way the northwest juggernaut known as Lebenden Toten could replicate their insane sound you hear on record. But yep, that toggle switch hits ignites brain searing feedback and that hovering HISS drowning everything while the rhythm and vocals sound like they're fighting to get out of a cramped cat box. LT carry on some of the bloodiest traits of Japan heroes like GISM and offer a uniquely crushing sonic experience by the sounds of this new live release 'Synaptic Noise Dissociaton'.

SCOUR – Doom

As mixed batches go, a pretty formidable supergroup: Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down, En Minor, et al), John Jarvis (Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals), Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Lock Up) and Jason Momoa on guest growl on this track. The Black EP out November 27th on Housecore/Nuclear Blast. Good air-raid guitars, general chaos ensuing.
