Lord Mantis isn't a name I've been seeing much until recently, but I'm glad I did at all.
The band is releasing their third record Death Mask on Apr. 29 via Profound Lore and has given us a new song titled "Body Choke."
It's a strange listen through and through because it starts off like a Sunn O))) song would but with drums, thrashes around a bit, and then comes back down in some chunky grooves again. Clocking in at almost nine minutes I can honestly say I was interested throughout the entire listen, so kudos Lord Mantis! You know how to write a sick jam.
