Stream MELVINS' New Record Basses Loaded With Six Different Bassists

The MLB is streaming the album. I'm not even kidding. The MLB has acknowledged Melvins.

Melvins is a band that never stops, when it comes right down to it. Aside from releasing its long-lost record Three Men and a Baby (with GodHeadSilo's Mike Kunka) recorded in 1999 this year, the band is also releasing its new record Basses Loaded on June 3 via Ipecac Records.

The album has the usual band on it, and then bassists Krist Novoselic (ex-Nirvana), Steve McDonald (Redd Kross), J.D. Pinkus (Butthole Surfers), Trevor Dunn (ex-Mr. Bungle, etc.), and Jared Warren (Big Business) as well! Not to mention drummer Dale Crover will be taking up bass on the album for the first time since 1983. Clearly this isn't all at the same time though – they take turns depending on what track it is.

Given there's a cover of 'Take Me Out To The Ballgame" on the album, and the title is a baseball pun, the record is streaming courtesy of MLB.com.
