How are you all doing out there in the world? It's not great times for anyone, especially if you're not a musician. There are some bright sides though. All those tours that you're currently missing out on will come back through. All the festival's that are being delayed will happen. Plus, all the bands that already recorded their albums are still dropping their album, and while you may not have had much time to dive into some of them before, now is the perfect time.

Extreme Of The Extreme: Hear A Little Bit Of Every Death Metal Band Ever From MYTH OF I

While InstruMetal isn't normally for everyone, especially not me typically, I would like to present you with Myth Of I and their new self-titled album. Myth Of I are taking on some of the best tropes that some of the craziest death metal, progressive metal, and speed metal bands out there are throwing into their albums. They're taking these ideas and expanding on them tenfold. Throughout the album, you'll hear Gojira style chugging. The Faceless in some of their symphonic elements and the way the instrumentals blend in. There are even some more Cynic and Necrophagist style progressive tech death for good measure. On top of all that, there's small sections that threaten to delve into straight up Cannibal Corpse style original death metal. Essentially, Myth Of I took everything that has every influenced them and shoved it into this nearly 50 minute relentless album.

Myth Of I commented on the album, saying; "We feel this album is an authentic representation of both our playing and sound, and we hope it resonates with you all as much as it does with us. We put many years into this project to help shape and redefine what we see to be the next step in the progressive metal scene. It's an eclectic album with influences from all over the world and is sure to be something you can't find anywhere else."

While the new album may not be out officially until Friday, Myth Of I and The Artisan Era have been kind enough to give fans a sneak peak at the whole album starting today. That's right, the album can be heard below, beginning to end. If you like what you hear, the album can be picked up through The Artisan Era and through Bandcamp so be sure to give support where you can, and stay safe.
