For those who don't remember, there were some crazy allegations of rape against former Gaza singer John Parkin earlier this year that were essentially unfounded and eventually dropped all together. Regardless, it caused the band to break up and reform without Parkin under the name Cult Leader. Now we get to hear what a Parkin-less Gaza sounds like… and it sounds good!
Well, it appears as though Cult Leader haven't lost their touch since the name change and new vocalist Sam Richards tears it up something fierce! "Skin Crawler" is a solid three minutes of brutality that feels like the same brand of brutality you've all come to know and love from Gaza, but… y'know. Not quite Gaza anymore. Honestly, this comes off a little grindier and grittier than Gaza did, which is extra awesome. Cult Leader's debut album Nothing for Us Here will be out April 15, 2014, via Deathwish Inc.
