Alkaloid, consisting of vocalist Morean (Dark Fortress, Noneuclid), guitarists Christian Münzner (Spawn of Possession, ex-Necrophagist) and Danny Tunker (Aborted, ex-God Dethroned), bassist Linus Klausenitzer (Obscura, Noneuclid) and drummer Hanness Grossmann (Blotted Science, ex-Obscura), garnered a lot of fans' interest after it was announced following Münzner and Grossmann's departure from Obscura. Now we've got quite a bit of news on the group, which is great considering we've known next to nothing about these guys thus far!
First up, there's their new song "Carbon Phrases," which is probably not what you're expecting (in a good way)…

So when is the album released? Whenever the band gets €12,000 from their Kickstarter campaign… hot damn. That's a lot of money! Or at least it seems like a lot, but considering they started this up on December 1 and they've already got €2,600 (as of the night of December 1), I'll venture to say they're going to be fine.
