Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell's voice is one instantly identifiable, though I'm sure it also helps that it was backed up by equally iconic music. Now Cornell's widow Vicky Cornell, Brad Pitt and Peter Berg's production company Film 45 are working on a documentary about the singer. According to Variety, a representative for the Cornell estate "confirmed that a doc is in the works but offered no additional details."
Cornell recently won a GRAMMY for "Best Rock Performance." The award was accepted by his children, who also gave a pretty heart-wrenching speech.
In May of 2017, Chris Cornell was found in his hotel room after a gig in Detroit, where he hung himself, which was quickly ruled a suicide. Cornell's wife, Vicky rejected the ruling by law enforcement. She blamed the death on taking too much anti-anxiety medication, especially after her final conversation with Chris, where she said he didn't sound like himself, and sounded like he did when he was addicted to Oxycontin.
