OZZY OSBOURNE Talks Death: "I Think About It, I Don't Worry About It"

ozzy osbourne 2020

It's been a rough period for Ozzy Osbourne. He revealed earlier this month on Good Morning America that he is currently battling Parkin's II. Parkin's II is a form of Parkinson's Disease, and according to Sharon is "not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does effect certain nerves in your body."

Ozzy was struggling with his health in 2019, as he suffered from both a bad bout of pneumonia and then re-awakened some old (and serious) injuries during a bad fall. Ozzy called 2019 "one of the most fucked-up years of my life." But, Ozzy is moving forward and plans to release his new album, Ordinary Man on February 21. A new interview posted today by Kerrang! focuses on Ozzy discussing his own mortality.

When asked if his health and his wellbeing is on his mind, Ozzy responds frankly:

“Do I ever think about when my time’s gonna come?” he ponders. “I think about it; I don’t worry about it. I won’t be here in another 15 years or whatever, not that much longer, but I don’t dwell on it. It’s gonna happen to us all.

“Am I happy now? No. I haven’t got my health,” he continues. “That thing knocked the shit out of me, man, but I’m still here. In fact, I worried about [death] more when I was younger than I do now. I just try to enjoy things as much as possible, even though that’s so fucking hard sometimes.”

Ozzy added that making the new album was "the best medicine I could have had." Ozzy hopes to finally make good on his tour dates, scheduled for later this year with Marilyn Manson in the States and Judas Priest overseas.
