Watch: "American Badass" Undertaker Returns Intro'd By METALLICA at WWE WrestleMania 36

"American Badass" Undertaker entering to Metallica is pretty awesome.

With the current response to COVID-19 resulting in all live events being canceled, WWE made the decision to go on with WWE WrestleMania this year, recording it on a closed set in their Performance Center in Orlando, Flordia. One of the unique matches from the event was a "Boneyard Match" between the legendary Undertaker and the dastardly AJ Styles.

The match was shot unlike anything ever shown at WrestleMania, more like a movie action sequence. One thing that Undertaker seemed to be teasing was a return to his "biker" gimmick, affectionately known as the "American Badass" era of the Undertaker, because he once came out to a Kid Rock reworking of Metallica's "Sad But True," called "American Badass" (he later, more famously, came out to Limp Bizkit's "Rollin."  'Taker returned to the character tonight, and arrived on a motorcycle as Metallica's "Now That We're Dead" played him in. Take a look:

The match itself was either something you love or hate. Personally, I enjoyed that it was unique and campy, and made me laugh at times but, laughing with it, the way you would a B-level horror movie. If you saw it, what did you think of the match?

This was not the first time Metallica was featured on WrestleMania. Triple H came out to "For Whom The Bell Tolls" at WrestleMania 27. Triple H is a big fan of Metallica, even choosing to perform the band's big hit "Enter Sandman" when he was a guest on Carpool Karaoke.

WWE champ Brock Lesnar is also a big fan of Metallica, and used "Enter Sandman" as his UFC entrance music. He even has a "Kill Em All" lower back tattoo.

WWE WrestleMania 36 Part Two airs tomorrow night at 7pm on the WWE Network. Hear my predictions on my podcast, Squared Circle Pit.
