About a year ago we posted about an 8-bit like Dethklok game which would be downloaded via XBox Arcade. At the time, the game was still in development and was scheduled to be released in the Fall. Everybody forgot about it and now word is coming out that the game will never see the light of day. The reason? It sucked!
Adult Swim has confirmed to GamePro that “Cartoon Network Enterprises has indeed ended production on the previously-announced Metalocalypse: The Dethgame.”
“The decision was made that the creative direction of the game would not live up to the high standards we had set for the project and we did not want to release a less than outstanding game.”
I commend the creators of the show for deciding not to put out a shitty product to just cash in. A lot of other acts should take note and follow their lead.
