Virtual Band THE SHREDDERZ Debut New Video Feat. TESTAMENT's ALEX SKOLNICK

The video shows the day in the life of a typical Shredderz fan.

Earlier this month, we told you about a virtual band called The Shredderz, which is kind of like if you took Dethklok and gave the listener more control over the band? What does that even mean, you ask?

As we told you last month, The Shredderz and their Shredderverse exists as a Web3 native, community-driven entity with dynamic NFTs. The Shredderz is the first-ever music project featuring automated dynamic NFTs (dubbed Access Passes) linked to streaming data. Meaning as the band gets streamed more and the community grows, Shredderz Access Passes will transform to showcase new art and unlock new experiences. Not to mention that holders have a direct say in the band's future – from adventures to musical endeavors to single, collaborations, merch design, artwork, touring plans – and get access to a Shredderz dedicated Discord.

Of course, The Shredderz is still a band and it fucking rips, as they showed us with their eponymous title track, which features Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick. The full album will include spots from Gary Holt (SlayerExodus), Derrick Green (Sepultura), Brandon Ellis (Black Dahlia Murder), George Lynch (DokkenLynch Mob), Dan Lilker (ex-AnthraxNuclear Assault), Taina Bergamaschi & Jessica DiFalchi (Crypta), Dave Davidson (Revocation), and Jessica Pimentel (BrujeriaOrange is the New Black).

To celebrate the official launch of the Shredderz Access Passes, the band launched a new music video for "The Shredderz." Says the band's lead guitarist Weezel about the track:

"Yeah, we were pretty psyched to get Alex to shred on the track, but he knows a great tune when he hears it. Anyways, our manager and the 'suits' kept tellin’ us that we gotta shoot a video for 'Shredderz' So, the label rented a bunch of helicopters, 3 tanks and a bunch of explosives for the video, but half of us overslept and missed the first day of shooting, so they went with plan b and kinda documented 'a day in the life' of one of our fans. Turned out pretty rad tho.. so we’re stoked."

Tune into the new video below. You can learn more about The Shredderz and the Shredderverse at OpenSea.
