SUMERLANDS (ETERNAL CHAMPION) Announces First Album In Six Years, Streams "Dreamkiller"

Inspired by Elton John and Judas Priest.

Sumerlands will release their first new album since 2016 Dreamkiller, and is now streaming the throwback title track. If you're in the mood for some classic heavy metal with an instrumental break inspired by Elton John, then "Dreamkiller" is for you. If you're not, get in the mood and then come back.

"The 'Dreamkiller' instrumental section was inspired by Elton John's 'Funeral For a Friend' which has the most evil sounding Bach-like guitar harmonies," said guitarist Arthur Rizk. "I was drawing from the epicness of that song, as well as Judas Priest's 'Stained Class' and Billy Joel's 'Movin' Out' which to me all typify that big 70s sound."

Sumerlands is Eternal Champion guitarist and world-renown producer Arthur Rizk, guitarist John Powers (Eternal Champion), bassist Brad Raub (Eternal Champion), vocalist Brendan Radigan (Pagan Altar, ex-Magic Circle), and drummer Justin DeTore (Innumerable Forms, Dream Unending). Pre-orders for Dreamkiller are available here.
