SÓLSTAFIR Offers Up Torment On New Single "Hin Helga Kvöl!"

Iceland, coming in hot with the heaviness.

Sólstafir is now streaming their blackened, driving new single "Hin Helga Kvöl!", or "The Holy Torment!" if you're not up on your Icelandic. The single is Sólstafir's debut on Century Media Records and should be listened to multiple times. Because it rules.

"It is a song about dying," said Sólstafir guitarist and vocalist Aðalbjörn Tryggvason. "It is about the realization that you will die sooner than later and consciously witnessing the end of your own world. It is one's own personal idea of Ragnarök – or Armageddon. What happens afterwards? Are we reborn or are we simply food for the worms…"

Catch Sólstafir on tour across Europe with Oranssi Pazuzu this November and December.
