METALLICA Streams Recent Performance Of "Blitzkrieg"

Another '80s cut.

Metallica is now streaming their performance of "Blitzkrieg" from the Zazula tribute show on November 6 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. The song is a cover of "Blitzkrieg" by the band Blitzkrieg, originally included as a B-side to the "Creeping Death" single in 1984. The cover eventually made its way onto the 1988 reissue of Kill 'Em All alongside Metallica's classic cover of "Am I Evil?" by Diamond Head.

Long story short if you're not familiar, we all have Megaforce Records founders Jon "Jonny Z" and Marsha Zazula to thank for the advent of thrash metal. Among Megaforce Records' classic releases (Anthrax, Mercyful Fate, Testament, etc.) are Metallica's 1983 debut album Kill 'Em All and 1984 follow-up Ride The Lightning before the band left for Elektra Records to release Master Of Puppets in 1986. Marsha sadly passed away in January 2021, and Jonny Z in February 2022.
