Akurion, the band featuring vocalist Mike DiSalvo (Coma Cluster Void, ex-Cryptopsy), guitarist Rob Milley (Neuraxis), bassist Oli Pinard (Cryptopsy, Cattle Decapitation, Neuraxis), and drummer Tommy McKinnon (Conflux, ex-Neuraxis, ex-Augury), recently released their new album Come Forth to Me. The band is now streaming an especially sentimental playthrough video of their track "Petals From a Rose Eventually Wither to Black."
"In the wake of the most recent stash of metal quarantine videos, we felt compelled to join in with this form of artistry as well," said DiSalvo. "This video for 'Petals From A Rose Eventually Wither To Black' is a meaningful one because in addition to filming our parts in quarantine, some very special never before seen footage of Mike’s late wife Genevieve DiSalvo was used as she had performed her final recording performance on this song before her tragic passing."
Come Forth to Me is available digitally on Bandcamp and on CD through Redefining Darkness.
