In what looks like to be the greatest American black metal release of 2017, Dallas-based Tyrannosorceress is finally releasing their debut album, Shattering Light's Creation, June 23 via Tofu Carnage Records.
Formed in 2010 by members of Dallas-based Cleric, the band's 2011 demo showed great promise and laid the foundation for what appears to be a brilliant debut. The band's label has released album artwork and other details, as well as a trailer for the album that sounds nothing short of true Texas black metal.
Recorded in 2014 by Irving Lopez at Imperial Mind Engineering and mastered by Brad Boatwright, the album is said to document "the band's transformation into a chtonic force." Having seen this band in a remote wildlife refuge in Texas, I can attest that Tyrannosorceress is already a force that should not be fucked with.

I am also seeing this band this weekend with some other great locals, including Baring Teeth, Kaliya and Cleric, so I am pretty stoked on that. Hopefully, they will play some of the new material because IT SOUNDS SO GOOD.
