Texas death metal outfit Cleric are poised to release one of the best death metal releases of the year.
The band — which features current and former members of Dead to a Dying World, Kill The Client, Tyrannosorceress, etc. — released "All Death Unseeing," the second single from their upcoming sophomore album Serpent Psalms, and you need to listen right now.
The song's production is absolutely remarkable, reminiscent of that Gothenburg sound, and the music sounds like old school fucking death metal.
"The idea behind 'All Death Unseeing' is the invocation of Ahriman," the band tells New Noise Magazine. "To cast all light into the void and to pull back from the void all that is darkness. Aurally, the song was a nod to Asphyx, Carcass, Death Breath and a little Candlemass. It’s a ritual of old musically and spiritually."
So, yeah, check it out!
