It's been five years since 2012's Les Fleurs du Mal, and unfortunately you're going to have to wait a little bit longer. The good news here is that all that waiting for some new Therion is paying off, considering the band's new album Beloved Antichrist is a triple album. Beloved Antichrist is due out January 26, 2018, and is a three-disc concept album based loosely around Vladimir Solovyov's story A Short Tale Of The Antichrist released in 1900.
According to the press release, the album will feature 29 characters played by 29 vocalists, and will clock in at about three and a half hours long. So this is either going to be the most enthralling symphonic metal album you've ever heard in your life, or really solid background music. Though given Therion's output in the past, we're banking on the fact that this is probably going to rule!
Seriously though, three and a half hours. Therion is really taking a gamble on this one, huh?
