Will you be listening to Unlocking The Truth?

It's been about a year since Unlocking The Truth was in the news, when they revealed at last year's SXSW, that they walked away from their $1.7 million Sony contract. But one thing still wasn't evident, where's the music?

Today, the trio revealed they will be officially releasing their debut full-length, Chaos on June 17th via independent distributor, Tunecore, on June 17th. Essentially, the band is self-releasing. The album was produced by famed NY producer, Johnny K. The band commented:

"We can't wait for everyone to hear our album. We've worked very hard to give the fans something they'll love and never forget. We hope they are able to relate to the songs the way that we do and have the time of their lives listening to them. We know that this album will blow you guys away."

It will be interesting how this album sells, now that Sony is out of the picture and no longer promoting them. The band got huge on the viral success of them covering Chelsea Grin songs. We'll see how the original music does.

We interviewed the trio about a year and a half ago, right after they signed their Sony contract, and it's crazy how much these kids have matured in this short amount of time.
