Those lying mother fuckers! Last year, mega-producer and Converge guitarist, Kurt Ballou let it slip that Old Man Gloom would be entering his Godcity studios to record a new album. I got really excited. Then, Kurt was all like syyyykkkeee!!! and I was really bummed. But, turns out it's a double-sykkkeee because the band DID actually record a new album, they just wanted to keep it under wraps because they wouldn't be able to tour to promote it until May, which heyyy, they did announce tour dates, so it totally makes sense. Wow, the grammar in this post is awful, but that's just how excited I am at the potential of more Old Man Gloom. Here's a teaser the band's label, Hydra Head, posted on their Facebook page:
