OLD MAN GLOOM Recording Logs, Chainsaws For New Album

It's never conventional with these guys.

Old Man Gloom released two album Seminar VIII: Light of Meaning and Seminar IX: Darkness of Being in 2020, and they're already back at it. According to the Instagram of guitarist and vocalist Aaron Turner, Old Man Gloom is currently recording experimental percussion and drones for their new record. These include hammered log percussion, chainsaws, an axe as a snare, and so on.

Whatever the culmination of all these sounds ends up being will probably rule. Old Man Gloom has always strayed pretty far from the path of conventional metal, and it's consistently worked out for them.
