The hype machine for the new Slipknot record has officially begun. After going completely dark on their social media a few months ago, today, the band have updated their socials with a new 9-pointed star logo, seen above and have posted an ominus teaser to their official site which offers quick flashes of a woman in what seems to be a psych ward with odd riffs occasionally playing.
Somebody was nice enough to upload a video:

Recently, Corey Taylor has insinuated that the band is done recording the new album. This is without question the most difficult release of Slipknot's career, having lost founding bassist Paul Gray to a drug overdose four years ago, and parting ways with drummer Joey Jordison during this recording process. The band have a lot to live up to, let's hope they deliver.
I predict we'll be seeing the release of the album in early fall via Roadrunner Records.
