Who the hell is working the boards for the their 15th album?

We definitely know Slayer are in the studio. We saw proof last week, including these photos of Tom Araya recording vocals.

But, who the hell is working the boards for the their 15th album?

Earlier this week, the band posted the below photo to their social networks:

To the uninitiated, that's producer Terry Date, who's worked on Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power, Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger, Deftone's Around the Fur and many more.

Date's only experience with Slayer was working on their single "Implode" earlier this year.

For the better part of the last 30 years, Rick Rubin was listed as a producer or executive producer on Slayer's albums. This will be the first album where he will not be involved at all. Of course, it's arguable how involved he was in some of the band's recent output, but it will be interesting to see how the band sounds on the new album.
