Peter Tägtgren has been a busy guy over the past few years. Tägtgren did a new album with Pain in 2016 and is still touring on it, did the Lindemann album with Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann in 2015, and most recently played on Immortal's new album.
Now Tägtgren tells Sticks For Stones that he'd like to finish up Hypocrisy's first new album since 2013's End of Disclosure this summer. He says the coming material will be the first to feature songwriting efforts from bassist Michael Hedlund for the first time in nine years. Hedlund is Hypocrisy's original bassist who joined the band in 1992.
"We have four more [Pain] gigs after the Australian tour, we have festivals. During the summertime, I'm going to try to complete the Hypocrisy album. We got some songs, but we need more. I need to get Michael more involved again. He hasn't been writing for nine years, but he's going to be back."
Also as a fun bit of information for anyone unaware – Hypocrisy's drummer has been Immortal's Horgh since 2004. So it shouldn't be a huge surprise that Tägtgren was involved in Immortal's coming record.
