Well, here we go. After we had originally reported on Morbid Angel preparing itself for some studio time, we've now got the news that the band will be on UDR Music and will be releasing a record in 2017.
The lineup as it currently stands is founding guitarist Trey Azagthoth and bassist and vocalist Steve Tucker. No word on who will be filling in behind the kit, or joining the band for the position, but if the band really is going back to being death metal, then I'm not sure they'll have a hard time procuring a skinsman.
“We are extremely excited to be in this partnership with UDR!” says Tucker, “we are both looking forward to making a great album and destroying the stage at many shows. UDR is a great label that supports the bands that they believe in, and we are proud to be one of those bands! Looking forward to a successful Partnership !!!!!!”
So, as with many good things in life, now we wait.
