Kreator is currently demoing the material for the follow-up to their 2017 album Gods of Violence. Vocalist and guitarist Mille Petrozza said in an interview with Metalitalia that the band is planning on working with producer Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Pig Destroyer, Primitive Man) on the new album, though nothing is set in stone yet.
"It’s definitely different," said Petrozza about the new album. "It’s hard for me to describe it but is definitely more thrash. It has a lot of melodies, a lot of traditional parts and ingredients of the last four-five albums but it also has some very old-school moments. I think it’s definitely the next step.
"At this point it looks like we are working with Arthur Rizk. That’s what we have planned at this point. We are already writing, exchanging demos and discussing recording techniques."
As with many bands, Kreator isn't going to release a new album until they can tour. The new album will be Kreator's first full-length effort with bassist Frédéric Leclercq (ex-Dragonforce).
