Vocalist Greg Puciato (The Black Queen, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan) has made it clear he's currently recording something at Studio 606. Puciato has been seen with Alice In Chains vocalist and guitarist Jerry Cantrell, Jesse Draxler, producer Steve Evetts, and Poison The Well drummer Chris Hornbrook.
This all seems like it might point to Puciato's follow-up to his 2020 debut solo album Child Soldier: Creator Of God. That album was mixed by Evetts and featured Hornbrook as one of its three drummers. The album was also released by Federal Prisoner, the label owned by both Puciato and Draxler. So what's the deal with Cantrell?
Well, Puciato and Cantrell last collaborated on Cantrell's first new solo album since 2002's Degradation Trip. The duo also played live together. So it's not like they're strangers, and clearly they like each other well enough to work together in the studio.
Granted, this might be a new band too. Who knows. All that's certain right now is that a bunch of really talented guys are in the studio making likely awesome music, and I personally am pretty stoked.
