If you've been missing Firewind's brand of power metal ever since its 2012 album Few Against Many, then we've got some good news for you!
Firewind will be releasing Immortals via Century Media Records on January 20. The band worked with producer Denis Ward (Adagio, Helloween, etc.), who engineered, recorded, mixed, and even wrote the album with guitarist Gus G. Good to see Gus has something coming out in 2017, considering he's not doing Ozzy's new album.
Here's what Gus G. had to say about the album.
"Since we're from Greece, we thought it would be a cool idea to make a concept of Greek history and heritage. So on this album we focused on the legendary battles of Thermopylae and Salamis during the second Persian invasion of Greece in 480 B.C.
"The artwork was once again created by our longtime collaborator, Gustavo Sazes, and we feel it reflects the vibe we tried to capture on this album — epic, powerful, glorious, everlasting."
Immortals will be the band's first album with vocalist Henning Basse (Hypnoside, Mayan, Orpheus Blade).
