Dream Theater is plotting to hit the studio this fall for a new studio album. Though right now, vocalist James LaBrie is in the studio recording his own new album.
LaBrie revealed via Twitter that he's begun tracking a new studio album. He's working with a "fine musician from Scotland" this time around, and not with his usual band of guitarist Marco Sfogli, keyboardist and vocalist Matt Guillory, bassist Ray Riendeau (ex-Halford), and drummer and vocalist Peter Wildoer (Darkane, ex-Arch Enemy).
This will be LaBrie's first new solo album since Impermanent Resonance in 2013.
Started tracking a new solo album. This is not with Matt Guillory and company. That will happen but not at this point in time. This album is with another fine musician from Scotland.
I’ll reveal his identity soon enough. We’re both very psyched with the tunes. Stay tuned. pic.twitter.com/9AxoKRzxej— James LaBrie (@jameslabrie) September 30, 2020
