When (now former) For Today guitarist Mike Reynolds took the stance that "homosexuality was a sin," the band was thrust into the spotlight, with their name getting out there, for better or worse. Now, they have a new album coming out, and rather than avoid any further controversy or commentary on their beliefs, they chose to tackle the matter head on by putting AN ANGRY JESUS ON THE COVER OF THEIR NEW ALBUM.
If this cover didn't have the For Today logo on it, I would assume it was just a poster for The Passion of The Christ II: Christ Harder, where Jesus comes back, and this time…it's personal. Why is Jesus so angry? Is it because For Today actually made him listen to their new album, Prevailer? I guess we'll never know.
