If you want to see Slipknot this summer, and you want to pit, it ain't going to be cheap. Tickets officially went on sale for this summer's Knotfest Roadshow, and while prices vary from city to city, the average price to get in the pit or premium seating is around $250. Slipknot will be joined by A Day To Remember, Code Orange and Underoath.
In New York, that number can climb to $1,000 for the VIP experience, they're called the "Nero Forte Pre-Show Experience," which gets you into a special exhibit before the show with memorabilia, including Slipknot instruments we can play, and some exclusive swag like a patch, a water bottle and a bag.
Update: Some fans are pointing out that during the pre-sale, pit tickets were about $130. This fluctuating new Ticketmaster ticketing system has struck again.
The good news is if you are willing to sit a bit further back or in the nosebleeds, in most cities you can get in for $30 – $35 before fees. The Canadian shows are a bit more pricing, requiring about $100 Canadian to get in the door. Your best bets might be on the secondary market, where some pit tickets are actually going for cheaper than buying direct. Stubhub also insures all their purchases, so if it's a fake, they'll make sure you get in anyway. Otherwise, you can check Ticketmaster here for pricing.
