Philadelphia will be the place to be on Saturday, May 6th, as the Electric Factory just announced an insane outdoor gig.
Mastodon, Opeth and Gojira will be topping a bill that also features Eagles of Death Metal, Devin Townsend Project and Russian Circles. Tickets are on sale now for $50 and available here.
For the rest of us, I'd have to think this probably means that these are two tours intersecting, right? We already know Gojira and Opeth have some shows lined up together, so I want to assume that Devin Townsend Project would be their tour opener, since they're all friends. By process of elimination, that would suggest that Mastodon will be on a headlining run of its own with Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles.
It certainly seems plausible. We'll keep you posted if it ends up that way.
