King Diamond recently played a new song called "Masquerade Of Madness" live, leaving us all to wonder exactly how far along the band really was into the creation of their first new album since 2007. Now we know the song is off a new album called The Institute due out in 2020, though a new single will arrive sometime this fall.
Coming along with that new single is a North American tour with Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats and Idle Hands as the openers.
"For reasons unknown to you, it is clear that you have no way of making it to The Institute on your own at this point. Therefore, we will bring The Institute to you. You don't want to miss this special opportunity for treatment only we can give you. It could be for your own good, you know…"
It's also worth noting that King Diamond is getting Mercyful Fate back together for a slew of European tour dates in 2020. So keep an eye out for more information on the progress of that reunion as well, and make note in your head that 2020 will truly be the year of King Diamond!
