The massive Hellfest 2022 will take place in two parts this year – between June 17 and 19, and then again between June 23 and 26. The festival has now announced a few changes to its lineup, including the addition of Ghost as the headliner for June 18. Other bands added are:

- Last Temptation (June 18)
- No Turning Back (June 17)
- Washington Dead Cats (June 18)
- Guilt Trip (June 25)
- Messa (June 18)
- Slomosa (June 23)
- Orange Goblin (June 26)
- Witchery (June 24)
Unfortunately a handful of bands have also dropped off the festival. They are:
- The Distillers
- Skinny Puppy
- L7
- Youth Of Today
- Reverend Horton Heat
- Hawser
- Om
- IV And The Strange Band
- Monster Magnet
- Hjvelvik
Other headliners for this year's expansive iteration of the festival include Deftones, Gojira, Scorpions, Nine Inch Nails, Guns N' Roses, and Metallica. Hellfest 2022 will take place in Clisson, France.
