AEROSMITH Announces Farewell Tour, Won't Include Founding Drummer

Pulling a Black Sabbath, I see.

Aerosmith

Aerosmith is the latest classic rock band to claim they're hanging it up with a farewell tour. The tour runs through the end of 2023 and 2024, culminating in a final show in Montreal. Why the band isn't ending their career in their hometown of Boston isn't clear, but they've got a New Year's Eve show lined up for the city. So at least there's that.

Aerosmith has also announced that founding drummer Joey Kramer, who hasn't toured with the band in recent years, will not join them for their final trek.

"While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health," said Aerosmith. "Joey's unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed."

Whether or not we'll see an Aerosmith reunion show sometime in 2025 remains to be seen, but you know how these things go. Get your tickets here.
