KID ROCK Doubles Down On Senate Run Promise, And Here's His Proof (2 New Songs)

Kid Rock wants you to know he's running for Senate for real. But is he?

Kid Rock wants you to know he's running for Senate for real. But is he?

Remember how we laughed about Kid Rock's promotional tactic where he "announced" he's running for Senate in Michigan. This was a few days ago, and naturally some political reporters checked with the Federal Election Commission and noticed he hadn't filed any paperwork yet to run.

On top of that, his political site was clearly on the back-end of Warner Bros. Records, which was just a skinned version of his regular merch store. Well, Kid Rock heard your criticisms and like any good politician, he addressed them head on:

Once again the press is wrong. First of all, I’ve got 15 days from my announcement to file paperwork with the FEC! Second, I’m not signed to Warner Bros!!! – which simple fact-checking would have revealed. I have recently worked out a unique deal with BMG, Broken Bow, CAA and Live Nation to release music ON MY TERMS. Like politicians write books during their campaigns, I'm planning on putting out music during mine and IT ALL STARTS TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT. It's not a hoax, it's a strategy and marketing 101! No plans for an album or anything else that has been the usual norm in the music business OR politics…..and…..

Senator Stabenow and I do share a love of music, although probably not the same kind. I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I'll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bullshit!

Midnight rolled around, and sure enough… Kid Rock just released two music videos. No actual proof of a senate run.The first song is more of a rock song, a throwback to the sound that broke him and the second has more of a country twang. Expect to hear both at Walmarts countrywide in the next few months.
