The DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Begin Work On Follow-Up To Option Paralysis

Does Ben Weinman ever rest? Between being on tour with Mastodon, collaborating on two separate side projects with each Brent Hinds and Mike Patton, as well as doing a full US tour, his plate seems pretty full. But I guess that's not enough for him, because ideas are being formed in the Dillinger camp for a follow up to last year's Option Paralysis, according to some hints found on frontman Greg Puciato's Twitter page. Here are the tweets:

“Ben and Billy working on new DEP in the dressing room. After ten years it still makes my heartrate go up to hear new DEP ideas forming.”

“I know it’s time to write a new album when it feels like this. After “Option” I couldn’t even imagine writing anymore. So draining. Time now”

“That said, we have no intention of writing a “better” Option Paralysis. We’re gonna unleash a whole ‘nother beast that lives on it’s own.”

Big kudos to ThePRP for spotting this. If they manage to finish the album in the first quarter of the year, they can presumably get this out by the Summer/Fall thus making 2012 a huuuuuge year for new heavy music. I'm pumped.
