System Of A Down's drummer John Dolmayan has recently expanded his impressive resume by venturing into the world of invention. Known for his varied interests beyond music, Dolmayan has been deeply involved in the comics industry, managing his own Torpedo Comics shop and writing several comics.
Now, Dolmayan has proudly presented his first patent: a reusable, app-oriented shipping container with enhanced security features, requiring multiple layers of authentication for access.
The patent outlines a "shipping container that includes numerous multi-factor authentication (MFA) tie-ins to provide added security to the container. In some embodiments, the shipping container is associated with a mobile user profile within a mobile application. A retailer makes a sale, and then, using a mobile application, associates the container with the destination address and the MFA details associated with the buyer’s mobile application account. Once the container is loaded up, the container will not open again except for the buyer using the buyer’s MFA authentication credentials."
Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Dolmayan shared: "So excited to get my first patent! It’s a long process but being an inventor has been rewarding in so many ways! This is a reusable, rechargeable, and completely secure shipping container that can replace cardboard boxes. It can eliminate massive amounts of waste and is applicable to all aspects of delivery including food and collectibles."
It's unclear at this time what the timeline for the production of Dolmayan's innovative container will look like, nevertheless, kudos to him for venturing into something so far removed from music.
