What happens when nu-death meets nu-metal? I guess we're about to find out! Metal Hammer reports that Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor will lend his vocals as a guest on the new Korn album. Guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer confirms by saying “We have Corey singing on one track and it’s going to be a fan favourite because he really lets loose. On a heaviness scale of one to 10 with 10 being the 1994 self-titled, this album is a definite nine.”
Korn has been teasing their upcoming album, by saying this will be the heaviest one in years. With the likes of Taylor in the mix, and Brian "Head" Welch back at heavy writing, there is no doubt this might wind up being the heaviest album in their discography. Slipknot and Korn have collaborated many times on stage in the past, as seen in the video below, but it'd be great to see what Taylor actually brings to the record.
A name hasn't been released for the album yet,but it's expected to be released later this year. Are you looking forward to hearing this?
