When The Misfits announced their two reunion shows featuring Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle, the music world was shocked. Once everybody caught their breath, we realized, there wasn't a drummer announcement with the lineup.
Blabbermouth is reporting former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo is rumored to be the musician sitting behind the kit.
Lombardo has been keeping pretty busy as of late, finishing up the debut album of his new band Dead Cross, and playing and recording with Suicidal Tendencies.
In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, when asked about a drummer, Danzig responded: "It will blow your mind when I tell you. It's pretty crazy. He's one of my favorite drummers, and I've known him for a while," and Only mentioned the drummer is "a family guy" who sacrificed some gigs to stay home.
We reached out to Dave Lombardo for comment but have not heard back as of this writing. We will update this post if we do.
