A little earlier in July we posted about a newspaper ad asking for metalheads to participate in the new Ghostbusters movie. The metalheads were needed for a concert scene featured in the upcoming film, though the headliner of the concert was never revealed! One writer for the Boston Herald seems to think the rock star in question in the upcoming film was none other than Ozzy Osbourne.
Our spy on the scene overheard a couple of crew members talking about the Black Sabbath frontman outside the theater where Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones were working.
And posters outside the theater advertised a “Rock Revenge Fest featuring Ozzy Osbourne” as part of a “12 Hour Marathon of Metal.”
The Wang marquee was transformed into the Stonebrook Theatre for the shoot, with the legend “Rock Out With Your Metal Out.”
We tried to reach out to some people who got booked as extras but they wouldn't tell us anything, saying they signed very strict non-disclosure agreements about the shoot. I guess we'll just have to go see the movie… which I was going to do anyway.
