Rumors began heavily circulating last week that Linkin Park is entertaining reunion offers for 2025, thanks to a report by Billboard. The report notes that Linkin Park is potentially seeking a female vocalist, and that the band's lineup will feature Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell. The report doesn't mention turntablist Joe Hahn and drummer Rob Bourdon, both of whom were with Linkin Park in their pre-Bennington days when they went by the name Xero.
So we ran a quick weekend poll to see how everyone felt about a potential Linkin Park reunion, and reactions were mixed. The top choice was that Linkin Park isn't Linkin Park without Chester Bennington (29.2% of votes), though a combined 39.8% of voters said they'd love to see Linkin Park come back (with a good chunk noting they'd only like it if everyone from the band's classic lineup is involved).
The results are:
- No Chester, no Linkin Park (229 votes)
- I'd love to see Linkin Park come back (189 votes)
- I'd love to see Linkin Park come back, but only if everyone in the band's classic lineup (outside Chester) is involved (127 votes)
- I'd at least give the new version of Linkin Park a chance (103 votes)
- I'm pretty skeptical of a Linkin Park reunion, regardless of who's in it (98 votes)
- I'd at least give the new version of Linkin Park a chance, but only if it's the vocalist that gets replaced (42 votes)
