What a weird combination.

This might be the only time you ever see Phish and Cattle Decapitation in the same headline, unless Phish drummer Jon Fishman has anything to do with it. According to Cattle Decapitation, Fishman is a huge fan of the band and provided the narration on the song "The Unerasable Past" from Death Atlas.

Yes, its true… Jon Fishman of the legendary jam band Phish is a huge Cattle Decapitation fan and is the one doing the narration at the beginning of "The Unerasable Past", the intro to the final track "Death Atlas" that also appears in the new music video!

Cattle Decapitation vocalist Travis Ryan tells Live For Live Music that Fishman's narration was written by Fishman himself, and inspired by where he lives.

“Jon is a big fan of the band and we were happy to have him come on board with the narration, as well as a quote off the top of his head that was inspired by the beautiful area he lives in, and recorded under the Maine night sky.”

You can hear Fishman's narration in the band's short film by Wes Benscoter below.
