PERIPHERY Drummer Sitting Out European Tour

Periphery announced on their official facebook page that their drummer Matt Halpern has dislocated his shoulder and will be unable to play the band’s remaining dates on their current UK/European tour. The band is not pulling out of the tour but instead has found replacement drummers from Monuments and Chimp Spanner to fill in on the remaining dates. The band expects him to return in the near future. Here is the full statement from the band:

Peripherals! Bad news… Matt had an unfortunate accident yesterday and dislocated his shoulder! He'll be ok, but he wont be able to play for part of our current UK/European tour. Luckily, our good drummer friends, Mike Malyan of MONUMENTS and Boris Le Gal of Chimp Spanner will be stepping up to fill Matt's shoes for this run. Please send Matt your love, and expect him back behind the kit maybe even as soon as the end of this current tour! Thanks for understanding, and see you at the shows!

I wonder what he was doing when he dislocated his shoulder…
