Ozzy Osbourne sadly had to cancel his upcoming appearance at the Power Trip festival due to ongoing health concerns. Now in an interview with SiriusXM's Ozzy Speaks co-host Billy Morrison, Osbourne revealed he most recently had a filter for a blood clot revealed.
"When I had the blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your artery to stop the blood clots going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is." He later added: "So, on Monday I went to have it removed. The blood clots have jammed you all up. It's just disappointment after disappointment. Just get this thing fucking done so I can go get on with my life."
Osbourne has since been replaced by Judas Priest at Power Trip. At the time, Osbourne issued the following statement: "As painful as this is, I've had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October.
"My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward. Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I'm just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.
"The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed. Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unconditional loyalty and continual support. I love you all and I will see you soon."
Sadly, health issues are nothing new for Osbourne in recent years. His ailments cost him a 2023 European tour, which wasn't surprising given his bleak outlook on the situation in late 2022. His farewell tour for North America also remains a mystery.
