Our Readers Are Down For One Last BLACK SABBATH Show With BILL WARD

According to you, the readers.

Black-Sabbath

Black Sabbath sadly ended with only three-fourths of its classic lineup in tact. Vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, and bassist Geezer Butler recorded their final album 13 and embarked on a farewell tour without original drummer Bill Ward, who quit the band in 2012 due to contract disputes.

There's been loose talk of one final actual Black Sabbath show featuring the original lineup lately with Osbourne on board, Iommi down for it, Butler expressing his own approval, and finally Ward saying he's into it. So over the weekend we asked our readers if they'd be into one final Black Sabbath show with Ward behind the kit… and the answer was basically "yes!" across the board.

The results are:

  • I am absolutely down for this (927 votes)
  • As long as they sound good, sure! (103 votes)
  • Just let the band be over already! (89 votes)
  • It'd be nice for them, but I don't really care (49 votes)

For those unaware, Ward was in Black Sabbath on and off between their founding in 1969 and 2012. Ward drummed on Black Sabbath's albums between their 1970 self-titled debut and Heaven And Hell in 1980, and then made one final return in the studio for Born Again in 1983.
