We were shocked to learn about some pretty serious domestic abuse allegations pointed towards Necrophobic frontman Tobias Sidegård. While Sidegård denies the claims, he is currently awaiting trial.
His band, meanwhile, is getting ready to put out a new record, which puts them in an incredibly awkward situation. They took to their Facebook last night and offered their first statement since this news broke:
Due to current allegations regarding Tobias, we want to point out that we cannot comment on an ongoing legal process in Sweden. NECROPHOBIC however does not condone domestic violence.
This will be our only statement until legal matters have been resolved.
Not really much to go by. As is the case usually, when a trial is in progress, nobody wants to speak. We'll have to wait and see how this all plays out.
